coincident 是一个形容词，意思是“偶然的”、“巧合的”。它用来描述两个或多个事件、情况或事实在时间或空间上同时发生，但并不是有意安排的。
比如：“The meeting was coincident with the conference.”（会议与会议同时举行。）这里就表示两者是偶然发生的。
例句：
“It's a complete coincidence that we met here.”
“我们在这里相遇完全是巧合。”
同学们要注意，虽然“coincident”可以翻译成“巧合的”，但它通常不用于口语中，而更多出现在书面表达中。另外，它和“coincidence”（名词）是相关的，但不要混淆它们的用法。
举个例子：You can say “It was a coincidence that we both chose the same book.” 但不能说 “It was a coincident that...”
